Ego Maniac of the Week: Andre Rosa
Dear Ego Maniacs,
Our Ego Maniac of the Week is our longtime friend and big time band supporter, Mr. Andre Rosa!
The Professional
One of our brainier maniacs, Andre has worked in Los Angeles in the telephony world for about 3 years. Yeah, we didn’t know what that was either. Visit Andre’s workplace to find out: http://www.fonality.com.
We write songs, He writes software…same thing right?
As a member of the USC Competition Robotics Team, Andre participated in the 12th annual AUVSI Autonomous Underwater Competition in 2009, with 32 other teams worldwide.
“While hearing the buzz of the phone in my ear, I reminisce of the days of my undersea adventures writing vision software for this little autonomous sucker.”
After getting into the final round, the The SeaBee 3 finished 6th place!
Undercover Animator
On the artistic side, Andre’s goal is to spend all of his time on animating, and is in pre-production for his next project, “which will be a rotoscoped James Bond-esque adventure to a Tiesto’s “Adagio for Strings”-like sound/beat.”
Brainpower to the People
Here are a few of Andre’s favorite sites:
This article by Glenn Greenwald: “the bestest of the best of the liberals. Glenn is so insanely right on the insanity that is civil liberties in this country. He’s so right he even mentions the insanity that is the War on Drugs.”
http://www.pandorabots.com/pandora/talk?botid=f5d922d97e345aa1: Andre daydreams of the day when machine has surpassed man in this world, “and I was, hopefully, a contributor to that, hopefully, coexistent, peaceful future.”
http://24hgold.com/: For those who believe in the coming collapse of the dollar and want to protect their wealth.
(Coming Soon) http://hoth-planet.com/blog: Andre’s “hard-core libertarian, a.k.a. anarcho-capitalist” blog is under construction.
Pay attention world…Andre has robots.

So what you’re all saying is that when the apocalypse comes it will be in the form of anarcho-capitalist robots (and, it goes without saying, zombies).
Well, as long as well all have chips in our brains by that point so that we have some hope of saving a fraction of the human race, I guess it’s not all bad.
Awesome work on the Sea Bee III – that’s amazing! And good luck with the animation!
Now off to invest in gold for the coming robot/zom-pocalypse.
Fascinating post
